SORRY, NOT SORRY
Harman projects gallery
New-York, United States. 2025
As women, we are conditioned to be people pleasers, to say yes, to shrink ourselves, to take up as little space as possible. And with that comes guilt. Guilt for not being productive enough, for not being informed or engaged enough, for not having children, for not being a "good enough" mother. Guilt for not eating healthy enough, for not exercising enough, for not being present enough for our friends or our parents, for not being beautiful enough, for not looking young enough. Guilt for not being like the people on social media, for never being enough.
This exhibition is a response to that weight. Sorry, Not Sorry explores the tension between societal expectations and personal liberation, exposing the absurdity of the guilt we carry.
Presented at Harman Projects in July 2025, Sorry, Not Sorry confronts these contradictions, an invitation to stop apologizing for things we never should have felt guilty about in the first place.
