This exhibition explores Marie-Claude Marquis's newfound need to slow down and detach herself from her own valuation through productivity. In a world where the mantra 'work more to buy more' predominates, Marie-Claude questions her place within this frenetic cycle.
Accustomed to defining her identity through action and social interactions, she has recently discovered the importance of contemplation, idleness, and time spent alone with herself. This inner change signifies, for her, the mourning of a bygone era that she must accept.
In 'Sweet Fuck All,' Marie-Claude presents her typographic work on plates, embroideries, and a series of funerary urns. This exhibition offers a space dedicated to introspection and reflection, exploring with humor, kindness, and honesty the contradictions that affect us all.
